Mock Tunisian full stitch

Insert hook under dc, yo,plt,then pull original loop on hook thru second loop, using the other end of the hook. Ch1. Repeat.

Romanian chord

Leaving a long tail (35cm), ch2. Insert hook under single vertical bar. Complete dc. Turn and now insert under the dc’s two vertical bars. Dc. Continue this process of slowing turning and making dc until desired length

Bag is made from bottom up, in continuous circular stitch, using two strands of wool.

Foundation

Using two strands, ch15 (or for slightly larger bag, ch19). Dc into back bump of second ch from hook to end.

Rows

At next stitch, go under both loops and start mock Tunisian full stitch. (28 stitches or36) Repeat until bag is desired length and finish at beginning edge of bag.

Finishing

Turn work and on wrong side, Slst around. When you get back to the beginning, plt to front and Slst around thru front loop only. Repeat for one more row of Slst. Bind off.

Handles

Make a 112 cm Romanian chord (see special stitches). Bind off, leaving a long tail. Insert end thru bag at corner. Fold up end and with the tail secure thru folded ends and wrap securely around. Tie off and weave in ends. Repeat for other side.
